READATHON | Make Me Read It Readathon

hosted by The Innocent Smiley && Tea & Titles
Hello,

So I saw this readathon just yesterday and got interested. It's hosted by Val @ The Innocent Smiley and Ely @ Tea & Titles.  Basically it's a readathon that allows you guys to pick the books for me. I know I'm a bit of a moody reader and at times, I want to kind of force myself to finally read a book that's been siting in my bookshelf or ereader. This is my chance. Here's more information about the readathon:

{ Make Me Read It Readathon }
Look at the books you own, either physical, e-book or ones you've borrowed from the library and pick out a few you really want to read, or feel like you should read. It’s up to you how many you pick, personally I'd pick a few more than you expect to be able to read in a week. Example: if you think you’ll only read two, pick out five books or if you think you can read seven, pick out ten.
Make a list of these books on your blog, or make a video, or a Goodreads shelf or post a picture on Instagram—whatever is easiest for you. Then get friends, other bloggers/booktubers etc. to vote on which books you HAVE to read.
When the readathon comes along, you read the books in the order of most votes. For example, if one book gets 10 votes—you read that first, then the one that got 7 and so on. If there's a tie, then it's your preference. The goal is to read as many as possible.
So there's that. Now here're my choices of book. I decided to pick 10 books. Ideally, I want to read 5 books out of all of these but realistically speaking, I can surely read around 3 of these. The choice is up to you guys. Go pick the books you've been raving about or books you think your friends loved or pick a book you think looks pretty or whatever else. haha.

The readathon starts on July 9 and ends on July 16. 7 days and hopefully 5 (or more) books.

Don't know any of the books? I decided to post their first sentence so you guys can decide (and maybe get interested as well). First five a physical books; last five are ebooks.

The Young Elites (Young Elites #1) | Marie Lu -- Reread!!
I'm going to die tomorrow morning.
A Court of Thorns and Roses (A Court of Thorns and Roses #1) | Sarah J. Maas

The Night Stalker (DCI Erika Foster #2) | Robert Bryndza
It was a sweltering summer night in late June.
The Good Kind of Bad | Rita Brassington
'Hell, look what I did.'
Ascenders (Ascenders #1) | C.L. Gaber
I was there.
The Reaper (The Children of Wisdom #2) | Stephanie Erickson
The mists between our worlds are thick and tempestuous today, and given all the rules I've just broken, it seems like an ominous sign.
Silverwood (Silverwood #1) | Betsy Streeter

Great choices to choose from! Though I haven't read The Star Touched Queen, I've heard really good things about it (and it's on my list also). I really enjoyed The Young Elites. It's dark and gritty and has an anti-hero that you feel both pity and anger for (yay for anti-heroes!). And my third choice was A Court of Thorns and Roses. I had issues with it but at the same time, it was totally reading crack for me and binged it XD. Hopefully you'll like it (since it looks like that's the one you'll be reading)! Good luck and I hope you enjoy all that you read!

oohh, nice choices! I read The Young Elites before and it's going to be a reread for me this time around. I wasn't a big fan of Adelina. So I'm really hoping I'l enjoy it more on this reread. From the looks of it ACOTAR's going to be my first read. I've read nothing but good things about it. Hopefully it works out for me as well XD Thanks!

I choose a Court of Thorns of Roses. That seems like the most requested read! Here’s my Make Me Read It Readathon!
A Court of Thorns and Roses and The Young Elites! I've read both and they are both quite interesting. I hope you enjoy and good luck!
I'm participating as well; if you'd like to vote on my poll, you can see it at my recently posted link. :-)

Great picks czai! I voted twice - one for ACOTAR and the other for The Star Touched Queen. :D I really liked the Young Elites when I read it a year or two ago, so I hope you do too! It looks like you'll be reading that for the readathon. Also, I'm thinking about getting a twitter just so I can participate more in the readathon! Do you think I should?? I need someone else's opinion besides mine. :D

So I ended up voting for ACOTAR because why not, but I also really loved Challenger Deep so that's my other vote! I haven't read anything else from your list though!

Thank you so much for joining! I can't wait to see what books are picked!

So much love for ACOTAR on this list! hahaha. I don't even know why I'm holding off Challenger Deep when I'm so sure that I'll end up loving it. No problem. I'm really excited to find out as well! :D

Thanks for the vote, I've been meaning to read The Star-Touched Queen just because of the great things I've read about it. And Silverwood's sequel's coming out this July so I'm also hoping to get around it :D

I've voted on your list, bytheway :)
