[Flashback Friday] Kimi to Boku.

Flashback Friday is a weekly post where I talk about a book, manga, or anime series I’ve finished. This is more like me reminiscing on stuff I come across back then.

English Title: You and Me.
Studio:
J.C. Staff
Genre:
shounen, slice of life, comedy, drama, romance, school
Episodes:
13 (S1); 13 (S2)
Anime Director:
 Kanbe Mamoru
The story revolves around four teens — the good-looking twins Yuuta and Yuuki Asaba, the effeminate Shun Matsuoka, and the class head Kaname Tsukahara — who have known each other since early childhood. While they are not necessarily good or bad friends, they continue to hang out well into high school. The half-Japanese transfer student Chizuru Tachibana joins the circle of friends in this comedy about the everyday life of adolescence.

Kimi to Boku. was one of the first anime I wrote about when I started anime blogging. It’s just one of those shows that involve beautiful sceneries, pastel colors, laidback characters, plain everyday life, and a bunch of guys with nothing really special to do in life.

Kimi to Boku. 2 - 13 (END)

Looking at this episode as a final episode, I have to admit that it felt more like it compared to last season's. As a sequel, Kimi to Boku. 2 didn't turned out different from other sequels out there. This sequel isn't any better than its prequel. Although this could only be on my opinion, I believe that other people could view this season as something better than the first one.

Kimi to Boku. 2 - 12

Right at the last minute, I'm really glad to finally see a Kaname episode. This episode has practically given more developments on Kaname's character that I'm pretty sure  Kaname fans are more than excited to see.

Kimi to Boku. 2 - 11

This was a rather boring episode. Although I really like the pairing Chizuru x Masaki, I'm definitely not up for an episode focusing on Masaki becoming friends with Yuki's junior in his manga club. Despite this uninteresting episode, I'm glad that Kimi to Boku's typical comedy wasn't taken away.

Kimi to Boku. 2 - 10

Okay. This episode just blew me away. I'll quit complaining for awhile and say that I really love this episode. I really never get tired of the Chizuru x Masaki pairing. If I was Masaki, I'll definitely be annoyed with Chizuru's approaches BUT I'm not her so I'm just here enjoying their pairing :D

Kimi to Boku. 2 - 09

Okay, forget about wishing for that romance episode I was waiting for. This episode was a lot funnier than I expected it to be. At first when they said that they'll help Yuki look for a part-time job, I thought that it'll be similar to the first episode of the first season but this turned out a lot better :D

Kimi to Boku. 2 - 08

Watching Kimi to Boku today literally slipped off my mind. Wait. No, watching anime today literally slipped off my mind 'cause I was reading Kuroko no Basuke. Anyway, here's my thoughts on this week's Kimi to Boku(:

This episode came out rather entertaining because of Yuki, Yuta and Chizuru's thoughts AND a little side comment from Kaname and Shun-chan's paranoia. Shun-chan's brother, on the other hand, is a pretty interesting character and definitely fun to watch given that he seems to be the complete opposite of his mother-like brother Shun-chan :3

Kimi to Boku. 2 - 07

I love Valentines Episodes :3 AND this episode has got to be one of the best episodes of Kimi to Boku this season. The long wait for the next episode of Chizuru x Masaki sure wasn't for nothing :3

Kimi to Boku. 2 - 06

"My brother, whose sole interest is manga, has taken a surprisingly interest in the curly-haired Cinderella of the cafeteria. Since then, his 'same old, same old' days had started becoming more eventful."

I was really surprised to see myself actually liking this episode. Last season, Yuki and cafeteria girl's episode has got to be the most boring now. This time around, I've found it really interesting and now I'm really looking forward on seeing them together again :3

Kimi to Boku. 2 - 05

For some reasons, this episode just didn't became that interesting at all. The story featured this time was pretty boring. Good thing the 3 funniest guys in the shows stayed. HA! And I actually expected Kaname to pick Yuta to go with him.

Kimi to Boku. 2 - 04

One thing why I probably like Kimi to Boku is how much it can actually reflect real life. Real relationships. Real people.

Kimi to Boku. 2 - 03

I feel weird watching a Christmas episode when I'm currently having my summer vacation. BUT I have to admit that this episode sure was fun.

Kimi to Boku. 2 - 02

I really can't explain how much I love this episode. xD

Kimi to Boku. 2 - 01

It' really good to see this show back with the same old relaxing comedy that'll make you smile and laugh because of their simple everyday life conversation. After a season break, I was really glad that Kimi to Boku didn't even change one bit :D

Kimi to Boku. (series review)

For starters, I was never of huge fan of slice of life anime but I do watch them. And when I saw Kimi to Boku. on the list of Fall 2011 anime, it was no doubt that I'll watch it but I was surprised on myself for looking forward to it every week.

Kimi to Boku. – Episode 8 & Episode 9

Okay, so I have to admit that these two episodes weren’t as great as the previous ones and character developments have somehow lost in here. But then, I’d like to just enjoy the comedy it gives and practically look forward for better episodes next time :D

Kimi to Boku. – Episode 7: Next to an Apple

Finally my wish came true, an episode mainly about Yuta.

Kimi to Boku. – Episode 6: Glasses and Et Cetera

There’s only one thing I have to say in this episode, I am so glad that Shun-chan finally had his hair cut!! XD

Kimi to Boku. – Episode 5: One Summer

I guess a slice of life anime can’t be complete without a summer episode. With that Kimi to Boku’s 5th episode covered the first day of summer for this group of friends. Now, I seriously smell romance in here.

Most Popular Fall Anime

Fall 2011 anime offered a lot of interesting new series and sequels. A number of people are going over Chihayafuru, Fate/Zero and Mirai Nikki as the top anime for this season. Personally, I can't completely disagree since I love both Chihayafuru and Mirai Nikki and as for Fate/Zero, I haven't watch it.
