czai on managing hobbies…

…and the closing of my personal aniblog – the Blacksheep Project.

I was thinking of departure from aniblogging community but then I remembered that I’m still in Sekijitsu and leaving it hasn’t crossed my mind (I mean come on! I just started there!). Anyway, I'm staying there and closing this one because keeping my own aniblog is quite difficult (and I honestly don't want to leave a week without a post yet it happens a lot this past few months 'cause of my intense focus in school-related stuff).

Yowamushi Pedal 04: THAT mommy bike overtook a car! @__@

More exciting races. Funny new friend. Onoda development. And did I mentioned exciting race?

Seiyuu Appreciation: that fishing space vampire ninja who’s secretly a part-timer demon lord Gatchaman

It’s been forever since I posted my last seiyuu appreciation post. Anyway, in this post let me talk about this rising seiyuu whom I’m really, really fond of.

Yowamushi Pedal 03: just who is that guy?

Onoda after the race.

Unexpectedly thrilling. Animation is great. Cycling jargons @__@ inspirational stuff are starting to come!

Dokushin Kizoku – First Impression

This one kind of reminded me of Rich Man Poor Woman (which is my current fave jdrama, btw). Okay, I just really have to get that off of me :3

Daiya no Ace 02: Eijun, don’t regret your decision!

Once the episode ended, I started thinking what to write about for this episode of Daiya no Ace since I really wanted to write about this series. So I settled with one of the things that Eijun felt in here…

Yowamushi Pedal – First Impression

Sports series minus the fan service. Really funny MC here. Decent animation. Pacing is okay but not the most exciting out there.

Daiya no Ace – First Impression

This first impression is coming from someone who has only seen one shounen-sports series – Kuroko no Basuke. This is an impression of someone who’d like to get to know the shounen-sports genre more and would like to explore the genre. This is also from someone who doesn’t know anything about baseball. This is all coming from someone who enjoys character-centered stories as well as inspirational ones.

With those in mind, let me get into this first impression.

Kyoukai no Kanata – First Impression

I’m honestly disappointed at the hype this series had but ending up not exactly impressing me aside from KyoAni’s usual beautiful animation.

Judge: Volume 1 – review

Yoshiki Tonogai comes back with another interesting locked-room psychological game with a more interesting premise that involves the seven capital sins.

Super Seisyun Brothers - First Impression

Lighthearted comedy. Kimi to Boku.-like humor. Refreshing art style. Great set of cast.

-blacksheep's Fall 2013 Anime List

As usual, I'm trusting Fall season with its amazing offerings. I've set myself to watch more that 20 shows this coming season despite my obvious time constraints. It'll be a difficult burden to watch them all at the same time so I become more picky this time around (but I still ended up deciding to watch so many series)

2years of AniBlogging: had too much breaks can I even call it two years? But hey, at least I’m still here.

Long running blogs are pretty amazing most especially those who never even go on breaks and such. I commend all bloggers we get pass a year or two without taking a break. I commend all bloggers who post consistently and with quality.

Tamayura More Aggressive: Waiting for Tides and Setting Sail

I don’t know what the future holds. I’m sure there’ll be times when I worry, lose my way, and come to a standstill. But if I don’t set sail, my ship won’t ever move. So I’ll leave port a little early and set sail for the sea! – Mitani Kanae; Tamayura: More Aggressive ep10

FanArt: Hakase and after the rain.

Last week has been pretty terrible for our country, Philippines, 'cause of the typhoon with the international name Trami hit the country... If you've liked my blog's page in facebook, you've probably seen what I've been up to during these past few days aside from catching up with series :3
on a side note, this is another one of those posts with more pictures than texts(:

Yamada-kun to Nana-nin no Majo (live-action): First Impression

It's not everyday (or every season) that I'll find something that would fit my taste in jdrama.

Shingeki no Kyojin 18: you know something big is going to happen soon...

my reaction while watching this episode!

Shingeki no Kyojin sure knows how to keep everyone always at the edge of their seats.

how age and exposure to anime affect our preferences.

Well this is just more on being personal than actually explaining things... so this post is a little but all over the place :))

I’m pretty positive that all of us have a good share of our very own ‘personal anime history’. Some bloggers have a small page or post of it on their blogs while some just share it to other people through forums, MAL profiles, or other means of sharing.

LIMIT (jdrama): First Impression

Psychological drama is always such an interesting genre. Observing how people would react on certain situations, how they'll handle situations or how they'll interact with the people around them is something that makes LIMIT a drama worth seeing this season.

Nendoroid Review: Tanigawa Kanna

I got this nendoroid last April :3 This is my first time writing a nendoroid review so bear with me here (this sounds like some MAL review. LOL. ifyouknowwhatimean). This post is mostly pictures than text.

Kitakubu Katsudou Kiroku: going-home club finally a reality! another average school-comedy series here.

AND SO I decided to start my Summer anime season off with a fairly typically-fun everyday life comedy series.

Sometimes it makes me wonder, who remembers every anime they've seen?

200 anime TV series completed and counting :3 Honestly speaking, I was surprised when I noticed it but what I'd also like to talk about this time is the idea of remembering every series I've seen.

Seiyuu Appreciation: Is that a question? Then I'll happily answer it. Pick from one of three choices: (1) Kida Masaomi, (2) Kida Masaomi, (3) Kida Masaomi!

After a long break on this kind of post, I've come back with a pretty interesting seiyuu to talk about. Probably the seiyuu I consider to be my fave one out there.

-blacksheep's Summer 2013 Anime List

I was a bit surprise to suddenly notice that summer is fast approaching (considering that summer just ended here in our country). I just did a quick view of the upcoming series and I don't really know about outstanding series but some of them seem quite decent in my opinion.

Shingeki no Kyojin 10: Armin becomes a man for once.

After all those Mikasa and Eren drama and flashback, I'd say that it was about time and give the limelight to Armin.

Shingeki no Kyojin 09: Seriously!? How are they going to escape now!? ( ̄□ ̄;)

Shingeki no Kyojin declared that its main characters are Eren Jaeger, Mikasa Ackerman and Armin Arlert. But it seems that the camera likes following Eren thus making him the main-main-character.
>>Contains major anime spoilers.

Nisekoi: anime finally been green-lit!

Nisekoi's the first manga which I read the moment it was serialized. I can't believe that it has been more than a year since it happened. But what I'm more surprised is to actually see a news like this.

Kuroshitsuji Live-Action Film: Gouriki Ayame dressed as a guy? Count me in!

I've never seen the anime and I've never read the manga Kuroshitsuji. End of story.

Karneval 06: We're done with Gareki. Are we going back to Nai's story now?

So this is where Gareki's story and the Circus's story meets (and definitely Nai's as well. See that old man there, Erisyuka's grandfather?).

Judge Live-Action Film: animal death game gets live-action

Well that's something pretty exciting for me.

Karneval 05: Each episode just gets darker. What happened to the flashy Karneval?

It would really be nice to see the connection of the stories opened up so far.

Spring 2013 First Impressions.

Spring season definitely never lets down.

Aku no Hana 04: I wonder what has gotten on Saeki's head.

Looks like things are getting more interesting.

Karneval 04: oh Gareki you tsundere, you might not get another embrace offer from Yogi (well I kind of doubt that).

Looks like we're digging on Gareki's background this time :3 (and no, I'm not into BL stuff)

Mushibugyou: your typical action-battle shounen with… seriously huge insects!

I was thinking of what else I can watch this season while avoiding series that I'll most likely enjoy watching in marathon (e.g. Kakumeiki Valvrave, Suisei no Gargantia). I was eyeing on Mushibugyou because of… welll… the cast and it looks like it's going to be a long running shounen series so I might as well start early.

Shingeki no Kyojin 04: it's payback time! or is it?

I didn't expect Shingeki no Kyojin to not hold back at all.

Free! PV: looks like we're going to see swimming in an entirely new light.

Whatever the deal is with this gay looking series, I'm most likely going to watch it either way.

Karneval 03: Nai is really cute. Will Gareki have more embarrassing inner thoughts of Nai as a Niji?

Looks like we're getting background on both Gareki and Nai simultaneously.

Aku no Hana 03: Nope, he doesn't like her. It's probably the other way around.

Only 'Probably' because that's the best possibility I can think of right now. I never read the manga and never will :3

On my last post of Aku no Hana, I focused on my thoughts on Kasuga's actions. This time around, I'd like to talk about Nakamura Sawa (Ise Mariya).

Arata Kangatari 02: so Arata and Hinohara can actually communicate with each other. At least that makes things a little better.

Well at least we saw what's up with Arata.

How anime continues to encourage me.

Go to college and find what you really want to do - Natsuiro Kiseki: 15-kaime no Natsuyasumi

Aku no Hana 02: Kasuga is obviously a perverted creep for taking Saeki's clothes home.

Aside from Aku no Hana's uneasy atmosphere, one of its greatest appeal is how natural everything seems to be.

Karneval 02: I guess Circus really is a circus.

Looks like Karneval will never fail to look as fancy and flashy as the first episode.

Aku no Hana: disturbingly interesting

Well that wasn't as bad as what others have been saying. The art, I mean.

Shingeki no Kyojin: outstanding first episode, will Production I.G be able to keep this up?

Not to my surprise, Shingeki no Kyojin started off with a really outstanding opening episode. The challenge here now is how it keep its momentum up high.

Arata Kangatari: it sucks to be pulled in to a world where you're suddenly a big time criminal.

Arata Kangatari's opening episode is disappointingly not that interesting.

Winter 2013 Final Impressions.

It's a bit disappointing how 2013 started off pretty weak.

Karneval: interesting story, flawless fight scenes, beautiful characters, outstanding cast, stunning art. What more should I ask for?

Okay that was too much praise I guess I could be wrong as well but that first episode was really worthwhile(:

Uta no☆Prince-sama♪ Maji Love 2000%: That opening performance was really embarrassing to watch.

I was really hoping that Karneval will be my first series for the season but sadly not even the raw is out yet. I was battling myself if I should start this one or what…

Anyway, after watching this first episode I fully understand why it has that 'comedy' tag in the genre :3

AMNESIA: turned out more decent than I expected.

AMNESIA's execution kind of reminded me of last Summer's Arcana Famiglia carrying that interesting premise and ending up being quite an annoying series. I guess there really is nothing to expect from an anime based on an otome game. Seriously.
