[BIRTHDAY POST!] 23 books, anime, manga, (and music) I Recommend + GIVEAWAY!

Hello,

I cannot believe that it has already been a year since I wrote this post. Yup, it was my birthday post. That was me posting some random things. Pointless. SO, I kind of like making lists which is why this year's birthday post is another list.. thinking of twenty three things is crazy but let's see what I can do about this... actually, this is just me telling you things I currently like :P

Here I go (just a quick note: this is a really long list with a few images and youtube videos!)...

22 Random Things About Me [on anime, manga, books and everything else in between]

AND I’m totally just being random today. Since I just turned 22 (and I don’t have any better posts in mind), I decided to work on a random fave and firsts list… Generally this is just me sharing random stuff about me in relation with my current interests – anime, manga, and books :)

[Flashback Friday] Angel Beats!

Flashback Friday is a weekly post where I’ll talk about a book, manga, or anime series which I’ve seen years ago. This is more like me reminiscing on stuff I come across way back then.

In a world after death, angels fight for their fate and their future. Yuri, the leader of the Shinda Sekai Sensen, rebels against the god who destined her to have an unreasonable life. On the other hand, Tenshi, the chairperson of the student council for the world after death, battles against the SSS members. SSS members utilize armed weaponry to battle it out against the angels harnessing supernatural powers.

If you’ve been following my blog for the last two years, you probably know that Angel Beats! was the anime that brought me back to watching anime. While it’s something I’ve decided to drop down from my fave anime list, it will always have a special place in my heart.

5 AniManga that can work as YA Novels/Series

Anime, manga, and YA literature are my current interests and perhaps they will be so in the long run. I’ve been bouncing back from one of them to the other since 6th grade; it’s crazy.

czai on managing hobbies…

…and the closing of my personal aniblog – the Blacksheep Project.

I was thinking of departure from aniblogging community but then I remembered that I’m still in Sekijitsu and leaving it hasn’t crossed my mind (I mean come on! I just started there!). Anyway, I'm staying there and closing this one because keeping my own aniblog is quite difficult (and I honestly don't want to leave a week without a post yet it happens a lot this past few months 'cause of my intense focus in school-related stuff).

2years of AniBlogging: had too much breaks can I even call it two years? But hey, at least I’m still here.

Long running blogs are pretty amazing most especially those who never even go on breaks and such. I commend all bloggers we get pass a year or two without taking a break. I commend all bloggers who post consistently and with quality.

Tamayura More Aggressive: Waiting for Tides and Setting Sail

I don’t know what the future holds. I’m sure there’ll be times when I worry, lose my way, and come to a standstill. But if I don’t set sail, my ship won’t ever move. So I’ll leave port a little early and set sail for the sea! – Mitani Kanae; Tamayura: More Aggressive ep10

how age and exposure to anime affect our preferences.

Well this is just more on being personal than actually explaining things... so this post is a little but all over the place :))

I’m pretty positive that all of us have a good share of our very own ‘personal anime history’. Some bloggers have a small page or post of it on their blogs while some just share it to other people through forums, MAL profiles, or other means of sharing.

Sometimes it makes me wonder, who remembers every anime they've seen?

200 anime TV series completed and counting :3 Honestly speaking, I was surprised when I noticed it but what I'd also like to talk about this time is the idea of remembering every series I've seen.

Nisekoi: anime finally been green-lit!

Nisekoi's the first manga which I read the moment it was serialized. I can't believe that it has been more than a year since it happened. But what I'm more surprised is to actually see a news like this.

Kuroshitsuji Live-Action Film: Gouriki Ayame dressed as a guy? Count me in!

I've never seen the anime and I've never read the manga Kuroshitsuji. End of story.

Judge Live-Action Film: animal death game gets live-action

Well that's something pretty exciting for me.

Free! PV: looks like we're going to see swimming in an entirely new light.

Whatever the deal is with this gay looking series, I'm most likely going to watch it either way.

How anime continues to encourage me.

Go to college and find what you really want to do - Natsuiro Kiseki: 15-kaime no Natsuyasumi

Seiyuu Appreciation: that amazing Arararararagi-san voice actor.

I was watching Honey and Clover and I can't stop myself for noticing Kamiya Hiroshi's voice there(:

If anyone out there isn't aware of who Kamiya Hiroshi is, I think that he's most notable for voicing DURARARA!!'s infamous informant, Orihara Izaya and the Monogatari series' half-vampire, Araragi Koyomi although he has already voiced a lot of interesting and memorable characters as well.

Recommendation Post: heartwarming romance series for Valentine's Day.

Yano x Nana-chan from Bokura ga Ita

I've been meaning to write a Valentine's post earlier but I've been busy with life and finishing Chouyaku Hyakuninisshu: Uta Koi.

Typical post is typical. I decided to write some recommended romance series since it is Valentine's Day(: Instead of picking out typical shoujo series with a bishounen guy making a girl helplessly crazy about him, I decided to choose series which I personally like for the romance itself not for the bishounen guy. LOL.

What's the better way of watching anime? -- watching weekly or all in one go?

Almost 3years ago I learned that anime is aired on a weekly basis and a few months later, I found out that each season, new anime are aired and whatever else out there.

Once I got hooked at watching anime on a weekly basis, I tried my best to avoid watching more than 10 series at once. But due to me interest in trying out as much series as I can, by Winter 2011, I was already going over 10 series. Now let me go over with my two choices in watching anime(:

-blacksheep's small and growing collection of anime figures.

Last Saturday, I was cleaning up my room and decided to re-arrange my stuff. I pictured it so that I can share it to other people as well(: Now let me go through my small collection.

~on some side notes, by December 20, I'll be back to regular blogging. I'll try my best to give an update or reviews on the series I watched for the season.

Choosing an Anime to Watch: things I look at when choosing series to watch.

Takagi and Kaya watching SKET Dance.
Each season there're always a new set of anime made by different producers; came from different manga, light novel, game or visual novel; have different genre and a lot more… Sometimes we choose specific set of anime but most of the times we try most of them. Personally, I choose a lot of series every season but don't watch all of them at the same time but I do watch everything my time can handle(: I set priority series so depending on my reasons for watching them.

This is all happening so suddenly.

I was actually writing my Bakuman. 3 Episode 6 post but I took some break. Think for a little and realized some stuff.
