"I've left some clues for you.
If you want them, turn the page.
If you don't, put the book back on the shelf, please."
So begins the latest whirlwind romance from the bestselling authors of Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist. Lily has left a red notebook full of challenges on a favorite bookstore shelf, waiting for just the right guy to come along and accept its dares. But is Dash that right guy? Or are Dash and Lily only destined to trade dares, dreams, and desires in the notebook they pass back and forth at locations across New York? Could their in-person selves possibly connect as well as their notebook versions? Or will they be a comic mismatch of disastrous proportions?
"Another surefire hit from the creators of Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist." -Booklist

I picked this book up plainly because it sounds interesting - a notebook being pass around; the whole dares starting from a bookstore; a romance developing from such antics.

There was the other part of it, too - the I want to believe there is a somebody out there just for me. I want to believe that I exist to be there for that somebody. -p87

I LOVE the whole idea of this novel - the dares and the romance. Dash is such a cute guy. I really like him. It's kind of funny how he actually gave some effort on such taxing thing to do in a bookstore. It's even more crazy to think that a dare like that can even be for real. But because he had all the time in his hands, he does the crazy dares and worked his way around the bookstore looking for ridiculous books and browsing through pages.

I didn't like Lily at first. I thought she wasn't interesting. I didn't care about her or her life or her personal issues. I didn't care that she's lonely. I didn't care that her brother doesn't care about her. I didn't care about her lack of romance on Christmas. But then she started exchanging dares with Dash...

The important people in our lives leave imprints. They may stay or go in the physical realm, but they are always there in your heart, because they helped form your heart. There's no getting over that. -p233

The dares the two of them exchanged were really fun. It most cases, I end up seeing more of them, their lives, and their inner thoughts. It made me care about the two of them. At first I was just there for the fun but as they further exchange for the notebook, I started getting attached to them.

OVERALL, Dash & Lily's Book of Dares is a really sweet and cute romance novel. I can't believe I waited so long to actually pick this book up. The dares were fun and it gets better as the story progress. You get attached to both Lily and Dash (something I didn't expected from myself since it's a really short novel). Dash & Lily's Book of Dares is a highly recommended read for contemporary romance readers!

What I Like: (1) the whole idea of the notebook of dares, (2) Dash and Lily!!, (3) the dares, (4) the ending - how they looked for each other, their Christmas, (5) the people around Dash and Lily (especially Boomer, haha)

What I Didn’t Like: (1) I didn't immediately care for Lily (in fact, I didn't liked Lily at the beginning)
