Sword Art Online - 03

I guess at some point, Kirito (Matsuoka Yoshitsugu) doesn't really want to be alone. He's a solo player because he's probably not good at dealing with people. I know the feeling. I don't now how much more we'll see Kirito like this but other than his 'bad guy' image in ep2, I guess that's the end of it…

'Bad guy' Kirito isn't his true self so I guess that's why we see how nice Kirito really is in this episode but at the same time, we also see him continue to hide his true knowledge about the game from other people. First off, I was really surprise to see Kirito join a guild. Although I guess that just proves that he's not entirely into being alone. Also the effect of loosing the entire guild members all at once made a huge impact to him. How much impact did it made? The Christmas Event practically showed just how much he wanted to protect everyone. It's not about being a beater or whatever. He probably just wants to have real companions or whatever. Anyway, the reason he probably hid his real level (and strength) was probably because he wanted to fit in with everyone. That's the best reason I can think of… or is there a better explanation for it?

I know how it feels adjusting to a new environment, getting used to people and such. Everyone practically knows that. When Kirito joined the guild, it was probably a difficult adjustment since everyone at the guild already knows (and personally knows) each other. It's a difficult fit. I believe that he's not entirely comfortable with them that he didn't even had the guts to at least stop them from the dungeon exploration without their leader, Keita. After their death, it's no surprise that he's blaming himself for everything since he was the only one who survived. In fact, he was the only one strong enough to survive that trap. As each members die in front of him ending with Sachi's (Hayami Saori) death, he hated himself. The rumor about the rare item on the Christmas Event became his hope of actually at least reviving Sachi to hear her thoughts about what happened. Although he's not entirely attach to them, going back to being alone is definitely difficult. But at the same time, joining another guild might also be difficult for him because of the trauma. Whether Kirito decides to go emo over what happen or move on and find another guild, partner or whatever would be something I would definitely like to see. I'd like to see how Kirito will develop as a character, a player  and a survivor of the game.

On a final note, I'm really happy to see Klein (Hirata Hiroaki) again in this episode. He now have his own guild with probably his friends from real life. Their meet up at the Christmas Event showed that he'll probably do anything for Kirito and I'm a bit disappointed that Kirito decided not to join Klein's guild. Although it is understandable that Kirito didn't join them (for now), I'm still hoping that he'll come to his senses and actually join Klein and his friends.

kirito most likely wanted to fit in. i dont think kirito will join klein's guild though. the manga went towards the girl that he met in the beginning. and allthough the anime and manga are definitely different. something inclines me to believe they will have similar stories in some respects. possibly with him and her teaming up. as per the intro you see them both fighting together alot. so she will either make him more social because he seems curious about her. perhaps its her abilities that he has seen. because we dont really know how shes soo good already. perhaps it is past experience. or perhaps. she herself is a beater, or even a beta tester. she just hides the fact MUCH better than others. in any case. ive been loving sword art online. normally i dont watch anime one episode at a time as they come out. because i start getting frustrated each time i have to wait for a new episode to come out. and then i get really ticked off. a lot of my friends are the same way. but the anime looked soo interesting i had to watch it. but strangely. i dont regret starting watching this early in. i did the same thing for Upotte! because it was... different to say the least.

The anime will definitely have a lot of differences from the manga since it´s mainly based on the light novel, I think. My friend started reading the manga && said that chapter2 seems sooo different and a lot of time has been skipped. Kirito not joining Klein is pretty saddening although I´m also looking forward to his team up with Asuna (the girl he met at ep2). It does seem interesting as to how and why he´ll team up with her again. I have to go with her abilities since I don´t think she´s a beta tester.

yeah. i dont remember most character names in anime. also i apologize for my lack of grammar. you seemed to understand everything i said. so i dont see the point in correcting it now. yay.

well. the manga is definitely different there are 6 chapters out at the moment. and i read all of the ones that are currently out. chapter 2 does skip to way beyond the anime. i personally am interested to see the relationship between asuna and kirito develop. (thanks for reminding me of her name. she made a very crappy impression on me. so i didnt remember her name. only that she was a girl >.>) anywho. they seem to be very close in the manga. and in the manga she seems to be about as skilled as kirito. although still not as strong or skilled. perhaps she just has decent survival instincts. in any case. we shall have to wait and see. i dont think she is a beta tester either. i just think she is a sort of interesting character. her strength as a player is never really explained yet. so thats what i want to know. why she is so strong although she is practically a noob before she meets kirito.
ohisee. That's pretty interesting. Now I really can't wait to see her again. Anyway, since she is a total noob when Kirito met her back then, probably when she saw how Kirito took the title 'beater' and such, she trained harder to be as strong as Kirito. Hopefully we'll see her in the next episode :D

im thinking we will see her in the next episode. or the episode after that.

nice blog by the way. i havent really expanded my anime love that much other than having a blog of my own where i post fanfiction. (currently have a death note novel that is temporarily postponed due to irl stuff) and having a few otaku friends on steam. i think i will be a semi-regular on commenting on your blog.

BACK TO WATCHING BOKURANO.
ohisee(: I'd love to see your blog :D and I look forward to your comments..

and that reminds me that I haven't watch Bokurano..
http://lanimeworld.blogspot.com/ theres my blog. ive just started into blogging since ive also just started making my own light novels and fan fiction. i have a part of my death note fan novel up on there. again its postponed for life reasons. but ill have a link up and such or the actual stuff up as soon as i can get one up. my next novel is a novel that doesnt have an official name yet. but for now its called mew mew forever.

bokurano is quite interesting. very screwed up. no graphic images interestingly. but its quite... i dont know how to explain it. it was hard to get into the first few episodes. but is very well worth the watch. i just love psychological anime..
ahh.. hope you can go back to it soon :D

well that description makes me more interested. and I'm actually looking for more psychological anime since I don't know a lot and I want to watch them.
yeah, Sachi´s death didn't had much impact but for some reasons I felt sad the moment Kirito opened her message.
and Kirito really should team up with Asuna soon :D

asuna joining with kirito... thats probably what will happen most likely. mostly because of the opening theme she is in quite a bit of it. so she is a... main-ish character. also she is one of the main-ish characters in the manga as well.
yeah, she is a main character.. at least that's what I saw in MAL.. probably next episode they'll be teaming up.. I hope..
do you know how many episodes S.A.O. is supposed to have? that could give some idea of when they'll team up.
I have no idea yet. Hoepfully around 25 or something..

damn. ill look around and see if i can find out.
i just did the research. according to wikipedia. there are to be 25 episodes. episodes 4 and 5 are confirmed on wikipedia. again. since its wikipedia. i dont know for sure. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Sword_Art_On... <- source.
ahh.. that's good news. thanks for that(: I can't believe that my guess was right. lol.
Episode definitely made me feel sorry for Kirito, but he really should have known better than to believe a story about a video game item unfrying a person's brain. lol

that's pretty much true. haha. It does seem weird to believe the rumors about reviving a dead user when their brain's supposed to be fried. lol. it's like asking for the impossible, bring a person back to life :))
