When a mysterious package is delivered to Robin Ellacott, she is horrified to discover that it contains a woman’s severed leg.

With the police focusing on the one suspect Strike is increasingly sure is not the perpetrator, he and Robin take matters into their own hands, and delve into the dark and twisted worlds of the other three men. But as more horrendous acts occur, time is running out for the two of them…
Career of Evil is the third in the highly acclaimed series featuring private detective Cormoran Strike and his assistant Robin Ellacott. A fiendishly clever mystery with unexpected twists around every corner, it is also a gripping story of a man and a woman at a crossroads in their personal and professional lives.
Cormoran Strike is back, with his assistant Robin Ellacott, in a mystery based around soldiers returning from war.

The Silkworm (Cormoran Strike, #2)
A compulsively readable crime novel with twists at every turn, The Silkworm is the second in the highly acclaimed series featuring Cormoran Strike and his determined young assistant, Robin Ellacott.
When novelist Owen Quine goes missing, his wife calls in private detective Cormoran Strike. At first, she just thinks he hasgone off by himself for a few days – as he has done before – and she wants Strike to find him and bring him home.
But as Strike investigates, it becomes clear that there is more to Quine’s disappearance than his wife realized. The novelist has just completed a manuscript featuring poisonous pen-portraits of almost everyone he knows. If the novel is published, it will ruin lives – so there are a lot of people who might want to silence him.
And when Quine is found brutally murdered in bizarre circumstances, it becomes a race against time to understand the motivation of a ruthless killer, a killer unlike any Strike has encountered before…

[Stacking the Shelves] THE SILKWORM IS OUT AND YOU SHOULD READ IT!!!

Stacking the Shelves is a meme hosted at Tynga’s Reviews.

SOOOOO… school started a couple of weeks back and I’m kind of struggling to keep up with things (I really do suck at time management). Well I was expecting this… I really need to pull things together…

I plan to put myself on a book buying ban on the next couple of months (July-August) so that I can save enough money for the 35th Manila International Book Fair on September 17-21 and Best of Anime 2014 on September 20-21 (two crazy events with overlapping dates @_@). I’m pretty sure these aren’t enough to last until August but I’ll most likely borrow books from the school library and from a friend so that I can get by :3

[Top Ten Tuesday] Books on my Summer TBR List

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted at The Broke and The Bookish.

This Week’s Topic: Books on my Summer TBR List. This kind of feels the same as the topic a couple of weeks ago which I edited as Books That Will Be in My School Bag This Semester (and so far one of those have been in my bag and the other one is currently in my bag :D).

So this list for me feels like an edited version of that earlier post since I’ve slashed out two of them and I’ve done some rethinking on some of the books I’ve listed earlier. Add to that the newly acquired books I have for review. SO here’s my current TBR List!

[Top Ten Tuesday] Books I’ve Read So Far This Year

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted at The Broke and The Bookish.

This week’s topic:  Books I’ve read so far this year. So far I’ve only read 38 books this year and around 11 of them are manga. I’ve also reread 1 book but I didn’t include that in the list. I’ll probably reread more books throughout the year anyway~

This time around, I’d like to arrange this list. While I don’t like arranging books to how much I like them, I think that it makes complete sense to do this and this is quite difficult.
